Description

The Gigantea aquarium plant is an aquatic plant with wide and floating leaves. It has heart -shaped leaves which can reach up to 50 cm in length and 30 cm in width. They are dark green on the outside and light green inside. The gigantic plant has white -shaped white flowers that appear in summer.

The Gigantea plant prefers calm and luminous waters. It can be cultivated in aquarium or outdoor pond. It needs a soil rich in nutrients to develop properly and can be fertilized regularly with a liquid fertilizer.

The Gigantea plant is also known to be very useful for the aquarium ecosystem by producing oxygen and filtering water impurities. It can also serve as a refuge for fish and shrimp. However, it can quickly invade the aquarium if it is not cut regularly.
