Hygrophila stricta is an aquarium plant relatively easy to cultivate. It belongs to the Acanthaceae family and is characterized by erected stems and dark green lanceolate leaves which can reach a length of 10 to 15 cm. The plant is native to Southeast Asia, where it grows in aquatic and humid environments. It is often used in aquariums to provide shade and cover for fish, as well as to help maintain a healthy environment by filtering water and providing oxygen.
