Ampulars are freshwater snails of the tropical and sub-tropical regions. They are exceptionally well suited to tropical regions which know a period of drought and a rainy season. It is preferable to have hard water to avoid that its shell is damaged.
Requires a male and a female because unlike other species these snails are not hermaphrodites.
The difficulty lies in the fact that the sexual differences are almost indexing. They eat everything. Algae, through food not consumed by fish, and to the corpses of dead fish. But watch out for plants.
The Giga ampularius snail is a terrestrial snail in the amphibulimidae family. It has a brown-black shell, with white spiral stripes. Its shell is conical in shape, with a wide opening and a narrow neck.
This snail happens all year round. The eggs are all glued to each other, and they are pink. The ideal is to include many rocks so that it lay its eggs on the surface.
