Description

It is a snail with a fairly light, rather beige cork pump shell. Night species, burst into the sand during the day. Indicates a high rise in the level of nitrites when it appears by day and performs a massive migration towards the surface. Feeds on the surplus of food and aere the ground, by digging tunnels, since it moves into the sand. It is an alarm signal, by its acts and by the variation of its population.

The Melanoides Tuberculata snail is a freshwater snail commonly known as "Turkish snail". This snail has a red or brown shell with many bumps and concentric streaks.
