Neritina natalensis

Adult size2.00 cm
Temperature22 - 26 °C
pH6 - 8

Description

Its orange shell is striped in black, which gives it a very good appearance. Excellent eater, he even attacks the formidable brushes. He never attacks plants. He seems to like to live in a group. The amount of excrement it produces, however, forces us to limit the number of Neritinas per aquarium. His favorite surfaces are the windows, the Mopani wood and the rocks. It sometimes goes to plants with large leaves, but it is much rarer. They like to get out of the water on occasion, so it is important to close absolutely all the outlets of the lid. He can only survive a few days out of the water.

The Natalensis native snail is a freshwater snail belonging to the Neritidae family. It is from tropical and subtropical regions of East and West Africa, and has been introduced into other regions of the world.
