Description

The Hymenocera Picta is a crustacean of the Pandalidae family. It is a gray and slender crustacean, measuring about 8 cm long. Its shell is pink to orange in color with patterns in the shape of black and white strips. Its antennas are long and fine, and its legs have powerful pliers to catch its prey. His abdomen is flattened and finished with a small Caudal appendage.

The Hymenocera Picta feeds mainly on small fish and crustaceans, which it captures by catching them with its pliers. He lives in tropical and subtropical waters, mainly in coral reefs.

This crustacean is often called "rainbow shrimp" due to its bright colors and bright patterns. It is a lonely and territorial animal, which moves quickly using its hind legs to swim.
