Description

A white shell, of ovoid shape, houses a dark red coat decorated with a multid of red tentacles as well. Clings to the rocks with its Byssus. Unstoppated individuals can move over short distances by opening and closing the shell. Very shy, he takes shelter in the slots of the rocks. It feeds by filtration of bacteria, dissolved organic matter and phytoplankton present in water. Difficult maintenance and a specific tank is recommended.

Lima Scabra is a marine invertebrate belonging to the limited family. It measures approximately 10 to 20 mm in length and has a hard and irregular external shell, covered with small bumps and streaks. Its color goes from light gray to dark gray, with shades of brown and red.
