Description
They consume dead plants, even rotten but also certain plants in the fresh state. They consume dead animals, eggs from other animal species. Of course they also consume seaweed but they constitute a meager meal and are not quickly enough for them. Very elegant snail: flat form of Planorbe type, black and white zebra shell.
The Marisa Cornuarietis snail is a freshwater snail from the ampullariidae family. He is native to South America and is commonly known as Ramshorn snail due to the spiral shape of his shells. These snails have generally brown or dark green shells, with lighter stripes. They have short and rounded tentacles, with eyes at the end of the tentacles. They generally measure between 3 and 5 cm long and can live up to five years.
